CANADIAN CONSULTING ENGINEERING AWARD 2009

Association of Canadian Engineering Firms of Canada AC - Dessau has been awarded the 2009 Canadian Consulting Engineering Award in the Building category, for its work on the new ultra energy-efficient headquarters of Quebec’s grain research institute, the Centre de recherche sur les grains – CÉROM.

QUEBEC CONSULTING ENGINEERING AWARD 2009 - Association des ingénieurs-conseils du Québec (AICQ) - This distinction highlights the excellence in Telecommunications and New Technologies for the remodelling of the telecommunications networks of the Montreal subway system.

ASHRAE TECHNOLOGY AWARD 2009 - Awarded by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), in the “New Public Assembly Building” category for its work on the Mistissini Community Centre project, completed for the Council of the Mistissini Cree Nation. This prestigious international honour recognizes the excellence of Dessau’s designs for the project’s heating, cooling, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

This distinction highlights an ingenious preventive measure during the construction of the Olympic-size pool at the city of Terrebonne’s new athletic complex. Dessau received the regional award in the large-companies category.
